My daughter absolutely loves the MMC and Ms. Lisa’s wonderful with my quiet and observant child. Last fall, I took my almost 4-year-old daughter (at that time) to “check out” the MMC–I was literally just checking it out so when she goes to Pre-K, I can perhaps sign her up if she’s interested. But after a brief meeting with Ms. Lisa, my daughter was super excited about the math club and wanted to start right away. After a few sessions, she said “NEVER STOP” the math club (meaning she wants to continue as long as possible). The MMC provides mental stimulus she needs, and the best part is that she enjoys learning the math concepts and having fun with materials Ms. Lisa carefully prepares for each lesson, which is suitable for my daughter’s level and interests. We’re so blessed to have found the MMC.

A measure of Lisa’s approach to teaching mathematics is that our son, when told that he has a class later in the day, smiles broadly and enthusiastically says “Oh, good!” She is a remarkably empathetic teacher, meeting each child where they are and engaging them in a truly positive experience. We have not a single doubt that their time together is a positive influence on his young life, helping to keep the spark and joy of learning alive and well!

Lisa is an absolutely incredible teacher. She’s truly fostered genuine interest and love for Math in our 5 year old. Her ability to customize based on what she sees in the student, and the her methods truly stand out. The one hour doing math w/ Lisa with one of our son’s favorite parts of the week, and we hope she’ll be able to teach him for a long time to come!
